About
The Masai Centre for Local, Regional, and Global Health is one of several community-based HIV outpatient clinics in Ontario funded to provide care and treatment for those living with HIV/AIDS in the Wellington-Dufferin, Grey-Bruce and Waterloo Regions.
The centre is located in Guelph, Ontario and on January 5, 2010 we will be opening a Satellite clinic in Waterloo, Ontario.
The clinic service model is based on a compassionate and holistic case management approach to care and offers access to a range of services including medical/nursing care. Educational, psychosocial and social services support are provided by The AIDS Committee of Guelph and Wellington County (ACG) and The AIDS Committee of Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and Area (ACCKWA).
Anyone who lives in the above named regions and is HIV positive or may have been exposed to the virus can be referred to the Masai Centre. The Masai Centre in Guelph will be the location for all initial referrals and appointments. Once triaged and assessed by our intake nurse, patients will be assigned to either the Guelph or Waterloo clinic.
